Sita Devi Foundation aims to provide financial assistance, integrated urban livelihood support & services, financial literacy & knowledge, and capacity building help, to enable the financially challenged urban poor to lead a “better life”. It is important for the urban poor to take that vital first step towards awareness and understanding of financial products for their well being and for their families. Sita Devi Foundation aims to empower the underprivileged and teach them how to manage their finances. Our Foundation aims to build their confidence and give them financial knowledge to enable them to make their own financial decisions. We look forward to making a positive change in these underprivileged families through this program. Sita Devi Foundation stands by them to make them smile and live a dignified and self-sustaining life. Apart from being just another financial inclusion and urban-livelihood program, the task of our Foundation’s team is not over once the planned campaign and awareness camps have been concluded in the targeted area. Our team will assure that the financial literacy knowledge imparted to them is useful in inculcating more savings, creating more productive assets, making more investments for future, and taking insurance for any unforeseen circumstances. Our budget for 2015-16 is Rs27 lakhs for 270 camps (3 days session per camp). This budget mainly includes training material printing cost Rs9 lakhs, trainers’ salary Rs9.6 lakhs, and other admin and conveyance expenses of Rs8.4 lakhs. The budget for the previous year was lower since we did not get adequate funding for this program.
